Microprocessors

A microprocessor incorporates most or all of the functions of a central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit. In terms of computing power, the processor is the most important element of a computer system, so the performance of a computer is highly dependant on the performance of the processor. A computer-on-a-chip is a variation of a microprocessor which combines the microprocessor core (CPU), some memory, and I/O lines, all on one chip.
